Description

Breakanoid is my Breakout clone. I worked hard to make Breakanoid a high quality game. Beyond just original graphics and music, I created my own Breakout engine that features a more realistic bouncing system. In manny breakout games, when the ball hits the center of the paddle it bounces up, and if it hits towards the outsides of the paddle, it bounces outward, as if the paddle was curved (even though it isn't). I found this system annoying, so instead I made it so that the motion of the paddle during the collision changes the direction of the ball, much like adding spin to a ball while playing table tennis. If you move the paddle quickly to the right during the bounce, then the ball will be more inclined to move to the right. In this way, you can aim the ball towards the bricks. Detailed instructions on how to play are included in the game.
